Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update for Victoria
Ram
To those in Victoria, I know that so many families and businesses will be deeply distressed by today’s return to Stage 3 restrictions.
Families with children in small apartments, cafe and restaurant or gym owners who have just re-opened and their employees, as well as so many others will be deeply affected.
As disappointing as the circumstances are through which this has come about, we know how to do this, we know we can get through this.
To all Melburnians and Victorians as a whole, the Australian Government stands with you and will assist the Victorian Government to test, trace, contain and suppress the current COVID-19 outbreak.
To those in need of assistance, please talk to your neighbour, your family, your friends. Anyone experiencing distress can seek immediate advice and support through Beyond Blue (1300 224 636), Lifeline (13 11 14), Kids Helpline (1800 55 1800), or the Government’s digital mental health gateway, Head to Health.
To all Victorians, we know we can do this. We all have a role to play in flattening the curve. We have done this before and we can, and will, do it again.
